What it is:
A searchable, interactive room/facility finder for our large company headquarters.
Target audience:
All internal colleagues based at, or visiting, our company headquarters in the UK.
Problems it solved:
Our intranet held an old and outdated Flash-based map, which would soon no longer be supported by modern web browsers.
Several thousand colleagues were based at this site and they would soon no longer be able to find meeting rooms and internal facilities such as shops/toilets/lifts etc.
This was also particularly important for new joins, who obviously had no idea where things were, so this tool was also included in our induction materials.
